Pesky global warming.

What with the bad weather and on the 29th I had a really bad run; I'm not having a good time of it. I was attempting another 18 miler and only managed 10, having being sick twice during the early miles. I was well hydrated, well up for it, but the heat was outrageous and I just couldn't go any further. Since then the sea state has really picked up, I've had a headache for 4 days and I've not been able to do any running at all. I'm now only 2 miles ahead with 118 left to go. Not a good position to be in. I'm meant to do 20 miles tomorrow, but we'll see what the sea is up to first. Who knows what it has in store tomorrow?

Hello Dave

I have been following your blog for some time now since your girlfriend got in touch with Richmondshire District Council. By now you may have heard that a donation of £50 is on its way to your efforts. I have to say that we are currently "enjoying" 25 degrees and I can't imagine what it would be like to run a mile in this heat nevermind the heat you are enduring.

I will keep popping into your blog to follow your story. Good luck for the last 118 miles and I hope your blisters are nearly fixed.

Best wishes, Councillor Helen Grant, Chairman Richmondshire District Council.

Helen,

Many thanks for your generous donation. We are now well on our way to make the £3000 mark, which is a fantastic amount for Help for Heroes.

Hopefully the final part of my run will go with no further injuries and I'll get back home for some rest, before I train for the Great South Run. Does Richmond have an organised run at all?

Thank you again for generosity,

Dave
